Part of honoring the university

The University participated in the activities of the Open Day organized by Erasmus Office and the European Union of Palestinian Higher Education Institutions.

The meeting was attended by a number of deans and professors from various Faculties in the university. While Dr. Dalal Erekat received the honorary certificate on behalf of the university president Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri in recognition of the university's role in conducting valuable research and projects and winning recently in one of Erasmus's largest projects in 2018.

Part of the Workshop

The Deanship of Student Affairs and the Faculty of Law at Arab American University, in cooperation with the Women's Development and Information Center, organized an awareness workshop about women's right to inheritance and violence against women. With the attendance of the head of the department of Jurisprudence and Law at the Faculty of Law, Dr.

The workshop was opened by the head of the jurisprudence and law department Dr. Talib at the Faculty of Law  and in a speech he welcomed the attendees. He stressed the importance of cooperating with the institutions in conveying the message of society, pointing to the importance of knowledge of the rights of women.

Honoring the Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority Ahmed bin Rakad Al Ameri with University Armor

Arab American University Library participated in Al-Sharjah International Book Exhibition, which was recently held in Sharjah United Arab Emirates.

The director of the university library, Mr. Hassan Al-Said said that a large number of Arab and international publishing houses participated in the exhibition as it meets the needs of researchers of general and specialized knowledge. He pointed out that the participation of the university library was effective at the exhibition. Where many books were purchased in Arabic specialized in public relations, law, sports, education, Arabic language and media, where these books and resources serve university students in the bachelor's and master's degrees.

Dr. Yousef Asfour Chairman of the University's Board of Directors visits the University's development projects

The Chairman of board of directors at Arab American University Dr. Yousef Asfour visited recent development projects implemented at the university, and ensured the progress of the work.

During his tour, Dr. Asfour was accompanied by Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, the Academic Advisor Prof. Walid Dieb, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Ara, the Board Member Mr. Raed Dahlab and the contributor Ghaleb Al-Hafi.

Part of the Conference

The Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Prof. Aysar Sussan, represented the University at an international conference organized by the American Society for Competitiveness in Washington, DC, entitled "Cooperation and Competition in the Global Marketplace"

Professor Sussan presented his research paper entitled "Social Trends and Multiple Generations Under One Roof", noting that during the conference he was selected as a member of the Advisory Board of the American Society for Competitiveness.

The conference was attended by international experts and scientists, including Dr. Michael Czinkota, an international marketing expert from Georgetown University, as well as the President of the American Society for Competition, Mr. Grover E. Norquist, Past economic adviser to former US President George W. Bush.

The Chairman of board of Directors at Arab American University Dr. Yousef Asfour, and the President of the University Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri welcomed the Mayor Dr. Ahmed Atash of Eschshahis Tebibashi Turkey and the Turkish delegation, where they were introduced to the university and discussed the prospects for future cooperation with educational institutions in the Turkish city.

With the attendance of the Academic Advisor Prof.  Walid Dieb, and members of the Board of Directors of the University, in addition to the Vice-Presidents, and the deans of the faculties.

Part of the meeting

The University organized a meeting in Ramallah Campus for Health Informatics Master Students about electronic health data, as part of the University's efforts to raise awareness and guide its students to the priorities of health information research required in Palestine.

The meeting was presented by the Health Systems director at the World Health Organization, Mr. Mohamed Bani Odeh, who presented for the students the sources of the electronic health data and focused on its importance and analysis to strengthen and support academic research.

Dr. Shahinaz Al-Najjar, a faculty member in the program and coordinator of the meeting, assured the importance of these researchs to improve the health situation in these new and unique topics.

Part of the Workshop

Hasib Al Sabbagh Center for Information Technology Excellence at Arab American University completed the second phase of a workshop titled "Building Block Chain Using Go Language", with the partnership of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the university and the club "GDG Jenin", where the workshop targeted more than fifty students and graduates, while the first phase was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

The workshop was hosted by Fadi Karakba, IT Officer at GBooking company that’s specialized in electronic solutions for organizing reservations in Russia. Where Mr. Fadi discussed many following topics: Basic prototype, Concept of miners the Proof-of-work, Transactions & Intro to server side development "using nodeJS and MongoDB.

Part of the workshop

Arab American University organized a workshop for its students entitled "Digital Security and the Palestinian Youth" with the participation of speakers from the university, Hamlih center, and Sawa Foundation.

Laila Haraz Allah from the university talked about preventive programs in reducing the phenomenon of blackmail and harassment, and Ayoub Zain El-Din from Hamlih center of talked about taking advantage of knowledge in the mechanisms of penetration and its impact on civil society, Shatha Sheikh Yusuf from Hamlih center reviewed how to combat gender violence among young people, and Ahila Schumer from Sawa presented the Foundation's experience through models of women who experienced gender-based violence on the Internet.

Part of singing the agreement

Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Information Technology Excellence at Arab American University signed two agreements to sponsor projects with two groups of university students through the recently launched PASS program, which is implemented by Leaders Foundation, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The Manger of Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center, Eng. Ahmed Fouad, said that the program aims to support the pioneering ideas and turn them into projects and new institutions. Where it will be done with the students whom signed the agreement.

He explained that the first agreement was signed with the students Abdul Salam Mansour, Mukhlas Turkman, and Ali Sawahreh, where their project is about designing a device to measure the signs of ECG and analysis it, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for them before complications occur.
