Aminah Abu-Arrah won the first prize in the "Afrabia" competition for Arab youth – Film category, for a film entitled "Four".

She was honored in The capital of Sudan Khartoum at a ceremony organized by Arab African Youth Council, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Sudan, Dr. Sameer Abdul Jabbar, and a number of Arab ambassadors and representatives of Arab League, African Union and a number of Sudanese Ministers, Thinkers, and media professionals.

Part of the Competition

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab American University organized the International Hult Prize competition titled "Unemployment" in which 15 teams of university students competed to present innovative ideas to combat unemployment. The competition aims to encourage students to innovate, produce and share pioneering ideas.

The competition was opened by the employee of Deanship of Student Affairs at the University Ms. Juanna Al-Hafei where she welcomed the attendees. She assured the importance of the competition, which bears a title that a lot of Arab societies suffers from. Pointing out that the ideas presented in the competition contributes to the alleviation of unemployment, and the winner of this competition will move to other stages reaching globally, as she thanked the Committee of faculty members Dr. Rola Jadallah, Dr. Raed Erekat and Dr. Rami Hadoub and Dr.

The Researcher Ahmed Amjad Hanani a student of strategic planning and fundraising

The Researcher Ahmed Amjad Hanani, a student of strategic planning and fundraising at Faculty of Graduate School at Arab American University, discussed his thesis on "The Impact of Strategic Planning on the Performance of small – medium companies in Palestine and its Continuity ".

The aim of his study was about the impact of strategic planning components on the performance and survival of small and medium companies in Palestine, noting that the importance of strategic planning can be measured to the extent that it affects business performance, which may affect its survival and existence.

Hanani used a survey questionnaire and distributed it to managers and business owners, and used different statistical methods to analyze data and obtain results.

The university welcomed a delegation from the Jordanian field hospital in Jenin

The President of Arab American University Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, welcomed a delegation from the Jordanian field hospital in Jenin, who visited the university as they discussed the means of joint cooperation between the two sides.

The delegation included the commander of the pilot station Salim al-Batush, the liaison officer, 1st lieutenant Amer al-Matar, and the technical station director 1st Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Hadeeb Sawalha. They were accompanied by the Colonel in the Preventive Security Service Bilal Zakarneh, they were welcomed by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arhra, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh, and Public Relations Manager Mr. Fathi Amor.

The university participates in the twenty-fifth forum for training students of Arab universities

Arab American University participated in the twenty-fifth meeting for training students of Arab universities organized by the Arab Council for Training and Creativity that is part of the Arab Universities Union in Egypt University for Science and Technology that was held for four days with the participation of 52 universities representing a number of Arab countries

The university was represented at the forum by Dr. Nizam thiab, Vice President for Training, and the university received a number of opportunities and training offers to train its students in various programs in a number of Arab universities.

Part of the meeting

Arab American University in Ramallah and Erasmus Plus Office in Palestine organized a meeting to introduce the "Erasmus Plus" program aimed at building the capacity of higher education institutions by enhancing the opportunities of students, academic and administrative staff at the university to exchange knowledge and professionalism in Palestine, regionally and Europe.

During the meeting, the representative of Erasmus Plus office in Palestine Dr. Nidal Al-Jayousi spoke about the mechanisms of submitting project proposals in the program, grants and other programs within Erasmus Plus program.

He added that The program funded by the European Union, also provides a range of scholarships for students at different levels of education and workers in the institutions of higher education from around the world, including Palestine.

A delegation from the Directorate of Education in Jenin visited Arab American University to discuss the enhancement of cooperation and the development of scientific and cultural strategic partnership to serve the educational process in schools and the university.

The delegation consisted of Mr. Tarek Alawneh, Director of Financial Department Mr. Mimi Ziad, Head of the General Education Department Mr. Ahmed Agbaria, and Head of Guidence Department Mr. Saleh Naamneh, where they were welcomed by the President of the University Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and his Deputy for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arrah, and the Public Relations Manager Mr. Fathi Amor.

The University's Information Technology Department Hosts the Director Jarrar in an Interview Entitled: Image Creation

The Department of Information Technology at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Arab American University hosted the Palestinian director Khalid Jarrar in collaboration with Multimedia Club in an interview presented for university students entitled "Image Creation".

During the meeting, Jarrar reviewed his own experience with the performing arts and the media, whether using the image or the output. He also talked about his methods in art and his ideas, which he presented in other societies around the world, which received great admiration and sympathy for the Palestinian people and events.

Jarrar is a multi-talented artist, a photographer, an accomplished video artist, a painter, a writer and a filmmaker who has directed his first feature film, "Mutasalilun," and has participated in many local and international exhibitions.

18 Years of Establishment

More than 20 young men and women sing with symphony and harmony “O My country we write your Name”, where the coach of the choir of Arab American University Mr. Louai Bilawi says his orders to repeat over and over again the sentence to achieve the symphony and harmony, which makes them complete "... On the sun when it fades."

The choir is preparing for intensive weekly trainings to present its upcoming annual concert. Belawi said he did not expect this harmony among its young people. "They came from different geographical and cultural backgrounds, but music, as well as the university, is capable of loading those energies and talents and transforming them into creativity."

The historic areas of Palestine from which the members of the choir are presented come from Jenin, Jerusalem, Arraba al-Batuf, Hebron, Baqa al-Gharbiya, Daliyat al-Carmel, the Negev and the Golan Heights.
