Arab American University Ramallah campus hosted a seminar for public sector and civil society organizations to discuss establishing a research center for water and climate change.
Experts in water and climate change, Water Authority representatives, Department of Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Local Government, Water and Waste Water department in Nablus’s Municipality, representatives of academic institutions and representatives of GIZ International Water Program, all attended the lecture.
Director of the Arab American University Library Mr. Hasan Al-Said participated in the Abu Dhabi’s international book fair in the United Arab Emirates.
During the fair, Director of Book Authority in Abu Dhabi International book fair Abdullah Majid AL-Ali was honored with the university shield. Along with buying a number of academic and cultural books to help the students in their academic and research process in their bachelor and master degrees.

Faculty of Engineering and IT at Arab American University in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism and Antiques and the French Consulate in Jerusalem, launched the 4th International Digital Heritage Conference entitled “Smart Heritage” with participation of academics, experts and Arab and International researchers from Tunisia, Franc, Belgium, Brazil, Norway and Greece.
The conference presents number of topics, most significant, Digital Heritage from informative, social and historical angels, ways of documenting and deal with heritage as future idea called Smart Heritage.
The conference aims to document all kinds of heritage with modern technologies, exchange expertise and communicate among the world’s experts and researchers. Many valuable research papers and an international scientific committee joined the conference.
Assistant Dean for Administration and Financial Sciences Faculty at Indiana University of Pennsylvanian, USA, Dr. Cynthia Strittmatter met the new students of the Master of Business Administration program, a joint program in partnership between Arab American University and Indiana University.
Dean of Arab American University Graduate Studies Faculty Dr. Abdulrahman Abu Libdeh and the MBA program coordinator at Indiana University Dr. Prashanth Bharadwaj attended the meeting.
Dr. Strittmatter gave the programs fourth batch of students many advices and instructions on their courses, the best way to benefit from them and how to implement it in their professional lives. Also invited them to visit Indiana University, stressing on the importance of connecting the two universities and the program graduates constantly.
Conflicts resolution and development master program hosted, at the Arab American University Ramallah campus, the Palestinian American Businessman Sam Bahour, specialized in improving the modern IT sector, to talk to the program students on the private sector role in development as a part of their course conflicts, peace and development in Palestine by Dr. Dalal Eriqat.
Bahour talked about the private sector role in development in Palestine and shared with the students this sector’s journey since the last century till the Palestinian Authority arise. The paper depended on the Telecommunications division as the case to study privet sector role in development under occupation.
The administration of Arab American University honored the engineering offices and construction companies that planned, executed and supervised the universities development projects; university campus at Ramallah at Al-Bireh, International Football stadium, multi-usage gym hall, Registration and Acceptance building, university presidency building, associate medical sciences faculty building, university new gates, water tank and the parking lots.
