Arab American University Faculty of Law participated in the “Jessup” International Moot Court competition in Washington DC, which will be held in the period between 9 to 15 in the month of April of this year.
International Law Professor at Faculty of Law Dr. Rizq Samoudi and supervisor of university team, said our Faculty of Law was chosen after a local competition held lately in Ramallah city where 9 Palestinian universities participated. Pointing, Washington’s DC international moot court will be a simulation to International Justice Court where various law schools from international universities compete.
LaserFiche Company awarded Arab American University with the best computerized application award for automation processes and procedures to serve employees and students in the world in a conference organized recently by the company in California.
The University got the award after LaserFiche Company announced its award, a major international company in the field of document management, process automation and electronic archiving. The university was chosen after a competition among hundreds of companies interested in technology affairs and educational institutions around the world.
Deputy of the Joint Arab List Yousef Jabareen visited Arab American University to check its academic accomplishments and meet the 1948 Palestinian lands enrolled students. University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, Vice President for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab and Head of Public Relations Office Mr. Fathi Imour all welcomed him.
During the reception Dr. Abu Zuhri welcomed Deputy Jabareen, complemented his efforts and support for the educational process on all levels and gave him detailed explanation on university’s achievements both academically and research, University’s international relationships, global scientific partnerships, infrastructure projects and plans to continue its excellence journey initiated 17 years ago.
Arab American University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri announced the university got the Ministry of Higher Education accreditation for a Bachelor degree in Computer Networks / Minor Information Security, to add a new major to the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
He pointed that specializing in computer networks and information security is one of the most vital and important specializations due to the need to link and connect various organizations and keep the data secured. He explained, Data is the most important component of any system, thus it’s necessary to use every possible means to protect and preserve it.

Arab American University hosted the International Professor in Nursing Jane Watson to a scientific conference organized by the Faculty of Nursing, entitled “Human care, between Theory and Practice”
Nursing Directors at Palestinian hospitals and First aid centers, Representatives of all nursing faculties at Palestinian Universities and a number of academic staff at AAUP Faculty of Nursing and Medical Careers, all attended the conference.
Pre conference, Professor Watson met Arab American University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri and his Assistant in Financial and Administrative Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, both of them honored her for her humanitarian efforts in Nursing.
Faculty of Graduate Studies at Arab American University Ramallah branch in partnership with Taawon Organization arranged a training meeting entitled “Conflict Resolution between Theory and Practice”, targeting the Conflict Resolution and Development Master students, aiming to enhance their skills and consolidate the concepts and tools of conflict resolution.

Researcher Hanan Ahmad Anees, commercial law student at AAUP Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her master thesis entitled “Legal Regulation of Holding Companies in Palestine”
