The University announced the launching of the International STEM Program in its Palestinian version with the cooperation of Ministry of Education. Where about 200 students participated from schools of directorates of education in Jenin, Qabatiya and Tubas.
The launching was during the ceremony, that was attended by the VP of Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab, Representative of Ministry of Education Mr. Murad Abed Al-Ghani, Dean of Faculty of Sciences Dr. Mua’yad Abu Saa, Faculty members, representatives from schools of directorates of education and student and teachers participants.
The Faculty of IT and Engineering at AAUP organizes Technology & Engineering Day- The 10th, which aims to present students achievements and projects inform of specialized institutions and companies in IT & Engineering sector, to enhance competition among students.
The activities started with an opening ceremony, attended by VP of Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Dhiab and Under-Secretary of the Minister of Communications and IT Eng. Jamil Zagharneh, Deputy Governor of Jenin Kamal Abu-AlRub, Head of Engineers Union Eng. Samir Rimawi and Dean of Faculty of IT and Engineering Dr. Mohammad Hamarsheh.
The university hosted two international experts in the evaluation of international academic and quality programs, Prof. Georgios Davalos and Prof. Miltus Petters, from a British university, in a scientific meeting organized by Erasmus Palestine Office in the presence of six Palestinian universities to evaluate the academic program in the fields of engineering, computer science and information technology at both AAUP and Al-Quds University as a model.
The Head of Development Committee at Arab American University, Prof. Mohammed Asia, said that the university seeks through this scientific workshop to reach the highest standards of quality and the best academic programs, as noted by the international experts, who affirmed that Arab American University has international academic, scientific and quality programs, and the outcomes of Arab American University are in line with the requirements of local, Arab and international markets.
