The Arab American University celebrated graduating 33 students from the schools of the Education directorates in Jenin, Qabatya, and Tubas, who participated in the14 hours’ Islamic Decoration course organized by the VPs office for Training and Community Service.
The ceremony was attended by Arab American University the VP of Training and Community Service Dr. Nitham Diab, the Director of the Technical Department in Directorate of Education and Higher Education in Qabatya Prof. Mazen Jarrar, Dean of Faculty of Science Dr. Muayad Abu Saa, Head of Mathematics department at Faculty of Science and students’ trainer Dr. Amina Afaneh, and representatives of the Education departments in Jenin and Tubas.
The Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri and Secretary of the Permeant Qatari Committee for the Support of Jerusalem Major General Belal Natsheh signed a partnership and cooperation agreement between the two parties to support and help Jerusalem students enrolled in the university.
This came during a visit of the Major General Natsheh to the University. The University President Dr. Abu Zuhri and the member of the University's Board of Trustees Jamal Hwail welcomed him.1
Dr. Abu Zuhri welcomed the visiting delegation and gave them detailed explanation about the university and its growth. He pointed, the university offers several financial grants to students, as well as providing loans to support them to continue learning and overcome the difficult economic conditions.
Eng. Abdel-Haleem Mowahed Deputy Chairman of the Arab American University Directors Board, made a generous donation of fifty one thousand Jordanian Dinars to benefit the university Alumni.
Sixty-nine Alumni with debts ranging from five hundred to one thousand dinars have and who haven’t received their certificates, benefited from this donation.
Eng. Mowahed said that since the administration of the Arab American University continued to inform him about these Alumni’ economic conditions, he decided to make this contribution to support and help them start their careers and find jobs that suit them, wishing them the best of luck.
