Arab American University sponsored a ceremony held at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Ramallah on the occasion of the five years since the application of eSchool portal. Where the university was represented by Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu-Arrah and Public Relations Manager Mr. Fathi Amour, and the administrative Manager of the University in Ramallah campus Mr. Mohammed Sabana.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Basri Saleh attended the ceremony, along with the General Manager of Ultimate Co. Mr. Saed Zaidan, and a group of those who are responsible of the E-School Portal.
Mr. Abu Arrah in his speech, he conveyed the greetings of the Universitys Chairman of board of directors Dr. Yousuf Asfour and the University President Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, who said that Arab American University is participating in this celebration on the occasion of the five years since the launch of the e-learning portal.
The Researcher Khitam Asad Abu Hadia a computer science student at Faculty of Graduate studies at Arab American University discussed her MA thesis titled "Providing Adaptive Learning Content and Evaluations in the Learning of Moocs Platform Using Classification Algorithms".
The aim of the thesis is to provide a framework and a proposed adaptive learning model for the learner as an adaptive learning course through the content and evaluation tools that improve the level of education and the availability of learning needs, noting that the study contributed mainly to the use of automatic classification algorithms for adaptation and compatibility with the Moocs educational platforms to produce better results when applying the system.
Arab American University hosted in Ramallah Campus the CEO of the Palestinian Communications Group “PAlTEL” Mr. Ammar Al Aker, in a lecture aimed for Master students in strategic planning and fundraising program, in the presence of the course teacher Dr. Dalal Erekat.
The lecture was about the experience of the strategic negotiations conducted by Paltel Group with the Palestinian Authority upon the renewal of work permits, which was signed on 28 December 2016
Dr. Nidal Younis Secretary-General of the Jordanian Medical Council, visited Arab American University campus in Ramallah and was introduced to its academic programs in Bachelors, Masters, and PhD degrees. He was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Palestinian Medical Council Dr. Amin Thalji, Dr. Mohammed Loay, and former Secretary General of the Palestinian Medical Council Dr. Sulaiman Barqawi.
The guests were welcomed by Dr. Imad Abdul Khaliq the Director of Orthodontic Programs at Arab American University, Dr. Jumana Jaradat Director of the Educational Dental Center, Mr. Khalid Harazallah Director of the Medical Center Laboratories at the University.
Universities in the West Bank and Jordan ranked the top ratios in passing the recent medical exam, which its results showed concerning figures about the success rates of students in the former Soviet Union, according to the results of the Israeli Ministry of Health shown in the 48 news site that has submitted the last union exam, about 49 graduates studied at Al-Najah University in Nablus and Arab American University in Jenin did the union exam 46 of them passed the exam about 94%, and 33 graduates from Jordan did the exam and 30 of them passed the exam about 91% which are the highe
But for the concerning results, that was from the former Soviet Union which had the highest number of graduates who applied for the union's exam, and the lowest percentage of passing the exam. From Moldova where 299 graduates did the exam only 92 graduates succeeded about 31% meaning that more than two-thirds Moldova graduates failed in the exam. From Ukraine 251 of its graduates did the exam and only 65 of them passed about 26%. The same situation with Romania 244 graduates took the exam only 71 graduates passed about 29%.
Arab American University hosted a ceremony where Dr. Saeb Erekat Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), announced the publication of his new book "The Diplomacy of Siege"/ The siege of the martyred President Yasser Arafat.
The ceremony was sponsored by the National Bank and attended by representatives of official and popular institutions, leaders of the security services and a group of university students, and Palestinian writers
The book contains 578 pages medium size book and is a crucial document with ten chapters about the correspondence, negotiations and meetings that took place during the siege of the martyr Yasser Arafat in the province with all the relevant parties and provides a deep reading during that stage.
