Islamic Jurisprudence department at the Arab American University organized a workshop about “Judicial Law: Theory and Practice” for law students with the presence of Dr. Medhat Hamad- the Islamic Jurisprudence professor at the university, as they hosted the member of the Appellate Court in Ramallah Shikh Naser Jabr.
Mr. Mohammad Fawzan- the Head of Sri Lanka’s Representative Office in Palestine visited the Arab American University with Mr. Kamal Abul-Rub- Jenin’s governor. In their reception were Dr. Osama Salameh- the V.P for Planning and Development and Mr. Fatho I’mour- the Head of the Public Relations Department. Dr. Salameh welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed explanation about the university, it faculties, buildings and programs.
A group containing different Arabian nationalities from poets to writers, journalists and artists visited the Arab American University with coordination with the Ministry of Culture. Ms. Samah Dawahdi and Mr. Raid AbuBaker from the Public Relations Department were in their reception along with the Library Manager Mr. Hasan Al-Saeéd and Mr. Saeéd AbuMaála.
Students’ Affairs Deanship at the Arab American University and the Guidance Department at Kadoorie University collaborated to organize a theatrical representation and a symposium to students of both universities at Kadoorie University. The theatrical representation aimed to enhance the importance of honesty, cooperation, justice and forgiveness in society. In the symposium, Dr. Nabeel Bushnaq- the founder of the Ibn Rushd Institution asserted on freedom of opinion and encouraged students to being creative in their thinking.
The Arab American University participated at the first International conference about “Psychological Researches: Theory and Practice” with a research paper “Political arrests and its psychological and social impact on students”
The Library of the Arab American University participated at the annual meeting for the electronic system database in Cairo, and Mr. Hasan Al-Saéed- the Head of the Library represented the university. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the latest and current electronic services that Al-Manthoma provides as the magazines number reached almost 1550 including Master thesis from the Arab American University students and the Arab American University’s Magazine.
The Arab American University hosted some Indian experts to give two scientific lectures to students of the Faculty of IT and Engineering and the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences under the organization of the office of V.P for Community Affairs.
The Arab American University and Jenin sports club organized a training course about “Basics for Filming Industry” funded by IRIX institution for 20 students who participated to know the basic skills for film industry.
The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University organized 3 days photography fair for the artist Ms. Awatif Roumeyeh under the name “tall legs” aiming to encourage students to innovate and be creative. Dr. Sharif AbuKrash- the Dean of the faculty opened the fair with the presence of the artist Roumeyeh, Mr. Saéed AbuMaála- the Arabic Language and Media Department at the university and some other faculties who joined.
The Arab American University, the International Committee of Red Cross and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society organized a training session about International Humanitarian Law for students’ of the Faculty of Law in order to enhance the importance of the humanitarian law to them.
