The Arab American University with a fund from its Board of Directors opened a training class at Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem. This class will be prepared for the Arab American University nursing students who need to take training courses at hospitals. This project comes to enhance the relation between the university and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The seventh Multimedia week has started at the Arab American University that organized by the IT and Multimedia department at the Faculty of Engineering and IT. Students presented their achievement.
The V.P office for Community Affairs at the Arab American University and the Central Elections Commission organized a symposium “Youth role in elections and political actions” aiming to encourage students to participate at the democratic process. Dr. Nizam Thiab- the V.P for Community Affairs asserted on the importance of this symposium as it will educate students about their rights to participate at elections to participate in building a better community and be active in the local community activities.
The V.P office for Community Affairs at the Arab American University organized a graduation ceremony for 60 students who joined “Passport to Success” training program for this year.
Fiqeh and Law Department at the Faculty of Law at the Arab American University organized a symposium about “Shariah judiciary: Theory and Practice”. Shiekh Abdallah Harb- the Head of the Shariah Court in Nablus, Shiekh Saleh Mare’i- the Head of the Shariah Court in Jenin, Dr. Medhat Hamad- the Fiqeh and law Professor at the Faculty of Law and Law students attended the symposium. This symposium is part of the activities that Faculty of Law does to connect the theoretical and practical studying for students.
The Graduates’ Affairs department at the Arab American University and Injaz Institutions both organized a training course about “Work Ethics” with the participation of 27 students in order to prepare them to the labour market after their graduation. The training was supervised by trainee Fadi Smerat from Arab Bank. Mr. Bilal Al-Ashqar- the Head of the Graduates Affairs Department at the university started the course by welcoming guests and indicating that the university always seeks to train their students and appreciated the role that Injaz is doing.
Students’ Council at the Arab American University organized a ceremony at the campus to celebrate the 14th commemoration for the battle of Jenin refugee camp. The ceremony contained speeches talking about martyrs who survived for 14 days and eventually died at that battle. Those 14 people stood against the occupation army together and promised themselves to defend their land. Speeches asserted on the importance of maintaining the sacrifices that the Palestinian people and especially Jenin refugee camp did.
Mr. Faleh AbuArrah- the Assistant to the President for the Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Arab American University and a delegation from the Palestinian Chamber of Commerce Union discussed collaboration possibilities to train students from different specialities in paid joint training programs in order to enhance their skills and abilities to help in blending them in the Palestinian and regional labour markets.
For the fourth time respectively, the Arab American University team got the 1st place at the training program that Jawwal Company organized for students of all different Palestinian universities “Ana Jawwal”. The team got the highest points of the evaluation that was supervised by specialists from Jawwal Co., and the evaluation considered: sales rate, creative thinking and ideas, good management for the social network websites and the final ceremony evaluation for each team.
Professor Ali Zaidan AbuZuhri- the Arab American University President discussed means of cultural and scientific collaboration with the Belgian Consul, Mr. Bruno Yans. Dr, Mufid Qassom – the V.P for International Affairs,Dr. Osama Salameh- the V.P for Planning and Development, Mr. Faleh AbuArrah- the Assistant to the President for the Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Muath Sabha- the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Mr. Fathi I’mour- the Public Relations Manager were at the reception of the Consul.
