A group of students from the faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University will participate for the fourth time at the Circulation Simulation contest that will start next Sunday. This contest is organized by the Palestinian Bourse and the different Palestinian Universities.
Professor Ali Zaidan AbuZuhri- the Arab American University President and Mr. Faleh AbuArrah- the Assistant to the President for the Administrative and Financial Affairs received a delegation from Bank of Palestine headed by Mr. Hani Naser- the Assistant to the Bank General Manager, who visited the university in order to discuss collaboration means between both parties Professor AbuZuhri welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts that the bank does in developing the Palestinian economic situation.
The Art Faculty and the Public Relations Department at the Arab American University organized an introductory workshop for the Arabic and Media students about the audiovisual archiving. This workshop that aims to introduce students to the Archiving mechanisms hosted Ms. Rula Shahwan – the Head of the Archive Department at Palestine TV. Dr. Ayman Youasef- the Art Faculty Dean welcomed the guests, and indicated that the philosophy of the university is to communicate with the local community by organizing like this workshop.
With the participation of 35 students from the different faculties, the Arab American University and the Higher Council for Youth and Sports organized a workshop about the youth fact in Palestine. Dr. Nizam Thiab- the V.P for the Community Affairs started the workshop by asserting on the importance of this workshop and its affect on the youth sector by blending in the youth with the community institution and participating them in putting strategic plans.
The V.P for International Relation’s office at the Arab American University hosted the Education USA centre and organized a meeting to introduce students to the mechanism of joining masters programs at different universities in the United States.
Dr. Mufid Qassom- the V.P for International Relations at the Arab American University received a delegation from Neuwoges German University who visited to discuss means of collaboration between the two parties. Dr. Qassom gave an explanation about the university, its faculties, buildings and specialities of both Bachelor and Masters Degrees. He said that the university always seeks to open new specialities that are convenient to the needs of the local and international labour markets.
The Arab American University organized an introductory workshop to introduce the economic recovery at Jenin city to students. This workshop is and initiative from the Palestinian Consulate Staff for Developing NGOs with cooperation with International Vision Institution and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Jenin Governorate and funded by “Drosos Foundation”.
The V.P for International Relations at the Arab American University - Dr. Mufid Qassom received the Switzerland tourist delegation “Embakh” who visited the university as part of the Palestinian tourists’ exchange program. Dr. Qassom gave a detailed explanation about the university, its buildings and the obstacles it has faced since its establishment. He clarified that the university has three main goals, the academic excellence, scientific researches and providing the local community with the best services needed.
The nursing department at the Arab American University finished the first stage of establishing the American Cardiac Association Centre where faculty members of 11 professors had training about the basic and advanced heart resuscitation processes for the young and the elders
The Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University hosted Professor Florain Kon- a German expert at the Conflict Resolution and Political Studies who visited the graduate studies centre in Ramallah and gave a lecture to students at the Conflict Resolution and Development Masters.
