Medical Imaging Department at the Arab American University of Jenin held a workshop entitled "Recent Technology in Early Detection of Breast Cancer”. The workshop aimed to acknowledge the latest technology in the field of medical imaging, for early detection of breast cancer. It also identified mechanisms of disease control and prevention methods. The workshop was held with the participation of a group of institutions and private hospitals, as well as the attendance of students of Medical Imaging Department.

Arab American University of Jenin hosted a scientific day under the title, "Physics Without Borders". This day was organized by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Italy, it targeted graduate studies students in Physics program, in order to give the students an overview about the latest developments in particle physics, also high energy physics, in order to encourage students to resume classes in physics program.
The head of the Physics Department at the Arab American University, Dr. Muayad Abu Saa ', said that the university is seeking to build a bridge between the students and the most important international institutions in the world. Thus, that would strengthen the relations and provide students with important information. Dr. Saa’ also notified that graduate studies students will present the ATLAS experiment in collaboration with the International Institute for Molecular Physics "CERN".
Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab American University, in collaboration with the Foundation Screens, presented a short film entitled “Very Hot Summer," as a part of the Screens Foundation tenth festival which is entitled: "Women's Cinema in Palestine" “This Year's Motto " and“ What is tomorrow?”..
The film embodies a real story and a personal experience of the director during the war on Gaza in 2014. It is also produced by screens foundation for women's cinema, and the scenario was directed by Areej Abu Eid.
The Assistant of the Dean of Student Affairs, Mohammad Kmail, welcomed the attendees before the show, and thanked Screens Foundation for its support for the Palestinian Cinema, as well as the Palestinian women, through producing short films.
Faculty of Dentistry at the Arab American University of Jenin provides a good and recent quality of education. It is also considered the first dental college in Palestine, as it is distinguished by its experienced and competent academic and technical staff, as well as its equipped clinics with the latest dental requirements.
The faculty of Dentistry has developed a well-quipped medical center, which was supplied with the latest equipment, clinics and laboratories, so as to offer training and therapeutic services for students and the local community.
Got the Second and third places on the national level
Arab American University of Jenin won the Islamic Bank national award for scientific research. The university got the second and third ranks in the category of "Research Excellence for Graduate Studies Students”. This award was granted after presenting a research by two students, from the master program, in the computer program; Ibrahim Qasrawi and Aseel Kmail.
The Scientific Research award was launched in collaboration between the Islamic Palestinian Bank and the Palestine Polytechnic University, for five categories, in order to support the scientific research and to encourage researchers in the Palestinian universities.
Arab American University got ”Run Smarter Award for the Best Students Services” by Laserfiche company. It is worth mentioning that this company is considered one of the major international companies in the field of document management, and process automation, besides the electronic archiving. Arab American University was chosen to get this award after a competition among several institutions in the world.
The award donors have stated:" This award is a fruit of the administration vision of the Arab American University, which implements the international computerized systems that develop the university's services. These are offered to students, employees and the relevant authorities. Moreover, this implementation is conducted in the best and most effective way in the university, which comes in line with international criteria in this field.
Two students from Arab American University of Jenin won the third place at the center of scientific research in the applied sciences. This was during the eighteenth creative forum of students, which was held at South Valley University in Egypt, under the title, "Treatments and solutions for young contemporary challenges and the crisis of sub-identities."
The vice president of the Arab American Arab University for training, Dr. Nizam Diab, said that Mira Khader and Dina Zayed are two students from the biology and biotechnology department at the University. They submitted a research paper entitled "Examining the Effectiveness of Four Medicinal Plants used in Palestine against Diabetes,”. Moreover, this research, which was supervised by both Dr. Hilal Al-Zaid, and Dr. Abdul Salam Camille. This research paper competed 60 scientific papers, where 35 universities from different Arab countries participated in this forum.
President of the Arab American University Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri received a delegation from Hope Foundation, who visited the university to meet the students who got Hope Scholarship. This was done in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, and the decision-maker of the local committee, Dr. Abdullah Walweel.
The president welcomed the visiting delegation and praised their role in supporting the Palestinian institutions, by providing scholarships for students of the Palestinian universities. He notified that the university is used to offering scholarships to students, who succeed in high school “Tawjihi” and get the first top scores, in addition to scholarships for honor students.
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, at Arab American University of Jenin, in partnership with the University of Paris VIII, won a project within Al Maqdisi program, for the academic year 2016/2017. This project is funded by the French Consulate in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education.
The winner team was consisted of the project coordinator Dr. Amjad Ratrout, Dr. Maaz Sabha from Arab American University, Professor Khaldoun Zurayk, Dr. Nasreddin Albouhi, and several other French researchers from the CITU Laboratory of the University of Paris VIII.
